Professor Ömür Dereci graduated DDS with first class honors from Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2008 and completed a PhD, also at Ankara University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dereci trained as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialist in 2013 in the same institution. He has had experience as observing doctor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of Sint-Jan Hospital, Brugge in 2018.
Professor Dereci was Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Eskişehir
Osmangazi University, Faculty of Dentistry between 2017-2021 and is currently a Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a member of the Academic Staff in the same Department.
Professor Dereci is also Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Eskişehir Osmangazi
University,. In addition, he is also currently completing a Ph.d program in the Department of Molecular Biology Faculty of Science, Eskişehir Osmangazi University.
Professor Dereci practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery with special interest in fibro-osseous lesions of the jaws, oral medicine and bone grafting techniques, PRF utilization in bone augmentation procedures and molecular technology in jaw pathologies. Professor Dereci instructs oral infection, odontogenic cyst and tumor seminars for dentistry students.
